The Sint Nicolaasbasiliek (Saint Nicholas Church) is a Roman Catholic church located opposite Amsterdam’s Central Station. Designed by architect Adrianus Bleijs, the church was built between 1884 and 1887. In 1999, both the interior and exterior of the church were lovingly restored.
Catholic services are held in Dutch almost every day, and Spanish services are offered on Fridays and Sundays. The church occasionally hosts concerts and recitals featuring the magnificently restored 19th-century Sauer organ. The church is open to the public for a few hours each day, depending on scheduled services and events. They also offer guided tours by request for groups of 7 or more participants.
